My name is Hannah Penn. My family and I are bakers. We live in Pennsylvania. My family came from England. The journey was long. The ship slowly rocked back and forth. A lot of people fell ill during the journey. All the people wanted the journey to end.

We are the Quakers. Quakers are nice and gentle. We do not believe in fighting. We think the men should stay side by side as brothers. In England people were not free to say what they wanted to say. Many who would not obey would go to prison. We had to speak very carefully, or we would be punished.
