The honoree for November is Mrs. Huckabee. Mrs. Huckabee graduated from Amherst High School and still lives in Amherst today. She began college at South Plains, but later transferred to Texas Tech where she received a degree in Economics and Math.
Mrs. Huckabee is married and has three children, but she really loves to talk about her dogs. Before coming to Springlake-Earth, she taught at Amherst, Roosevelt, Littlefield, and Hobbs, New Mexico. Here at S-E, she has not only taught math courses, but also speech. She has also coached several UIL events to state including Number Sense and Debate.
Mrs. Huckabee is unlike any other teacher. She is always the first to say hello to every student and calls them all by name. She gives great tips for shopping and getting the most for your dollar. Mrs. Huckabee is great with a saw and some glue. She's even taught her dogs the alphabet.
Mrs. Huckabee, we think you're awesome! Thank you for all you do for your students and our school.
