On Thursday March 4, five FCCLA members, Rosalia, Victoria, Courtney, Zeth, and Chad, went to Midland to compete in STAR (Students Taking Action for Recognition) events. The Springlake-Earth members were recognized for many achievements.
Earlier in the year, Mrs. Lostroh and Victoria worked on getting Mr. Vaughn nominated as an Honorary Member off FCCLA. He got accpted as one and attended the Region 1 Convention. Mr. Vaughn was recognized for his support of the organization and his dedication to the students. As Zeth put it, he was recognized for being "a pretty groovy guy!" who supports what FCCLA stands for.

While attending the conference, S-E was recognized for bringing more items for the community service project than any other team. With your help, we donated 136 items to Safe Place of the Permian Basin.
