After receiving her bachlors degree in Home Economics (Family and Consumer Sciences) from Texas Tech in 2001, Kathy Lostroh joined the faculty at Springlake-Earth. She stays extremely busy, as she teaches Independent Study, Personal and Family Development, Nutrition and Food Science/Food Technology, Preparation for Parenting/Child Development, Apparel/Interior Design, and Leadership Development in FCS. She is also sponsors FCCLA and Student Council. Kathy is also ServSafe certified and a certified Start Something trainer.

Kathy and her husband Rhett are expecting their son Tanner Rhett in January, 2007. They have two dogs, Sophie, and Ace, and two cats, Salt and Pepper. Although S-E is her first teaching position, she worked at the Testing Center at Texas Tech during college. For extra money in high school, she sewed for the public and had a business called Kathy's Klassy Kreations. A favorite saying of Kathy's is "Even a mosquito gets a pat on the back for a job well done."

In her spare time, Kathy enjoys sewing, baking, doing crafts, reading, and watching movies. Some interesting facts about her: there are only four Lostrohs in the state of Texas--Kathy, her husband Rhett, and her parent-in-laws! Also she was born on Christmas Day into a family of educators--her mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, two aunts, two uncles, two cousins, and grandmother are/were all teachers.

Joanie Mosqueda's family includes her husband, Al, and their two sons, Jason and his wife Andrea, and Michael and his wife Crystal. They are also blessed with a grandson, Xavyer Ryan. Joanie began driving a bus for Springlake-Earth in 1989, and began as an aide in 1990. She has worked here for a total of 15 years and is currently the special education aide in high school. A favorite saying of hers is "Know what I mean?".

Joanie's interests and hobbies include XAVYER!, GOLF!, volleyball, going to her Marissa and Kamryn's (her nieces) school activities, and watching Michael play softball. She takes a special interest in anything her sons do. She states she is very proud of them.

She really enjoys being a Catechist at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Olton, where she teaches both 2nd grade and junior high ages.
