Pictured above is the 1941 Glee Club. For our younger audience, a Glee Club is a group of students who study singing. The list of songs in the repertoire of our particular Glee Club was divided into four categories: Popular songs--such as "Anchors Aweigh"; Classic songs--such as "Italian Street Song"; American songs--such as "Jeannie With the Light Brown Hair"; and Religious songs--such as "Master the Tempest is Raging." The girls were under the direction of Mrs. C. P. Parish, and the club was composed of 33 members.
