On the first day of school, the Student Council put on a skit about the Star-Belly Sneetches. The Dr. Seuss book teaches kids about accepting others, and not thinking you are better than someone else because of physical differences. The theme of the year, "Every Star Shines Bright," was based upon the book.

Here, Curt plays Mr. Sylvester McMonkey McBean and collects the money so the sneetches can get their stars taken off or get stars put on.
The star-belly sneetches listen closely to Mr. McBean as he tells them he can make them the "best sneetches on the beaches" once again by taking the stars off their bellies.
