In Algebra I, students begin the study of abstract mathematics and are concerned with variable expressions and the laws of exponents, polynomials, solving and graphing equations and solving systems of equations. We also connect algebra with practical uses.

Algebra II deals with very abstract ideas. In it, we extend algebra into the realms of matrices, complex numbers, equations of conic sections, derivation and uses of logarithms, geometric and arithmetic sequences, and beginning statistics and trigonometry.
