Mardi Gras Masks

What you will need:

1. Papier Mache Powder

2. Styrofoam trays

3. Feathers

4. Tempera or poster paint

5. Glitter

6. Sequins

7. Foil Paper

Procedure:

1. Mix up papier mache into a pliable wet ball

2. Place in styrofoam containers for students.

3. They are to shape the papier mache into masks of desired shapes.

(Students only limits are amout of papier mache and their imagination)

Allow 2-3 days for drying. While drying, the students can research Mardi Gras,

history, happenings, modern cultural influences, etc...Research Lent.

4. When dry, the students paint and decorate their masks to their choosing.
