Alan Been's family consists of his wife Kathy, who teaches high school special education at S-E, and their sons, Quentin and Justin. Alan has taught high school vocational agriculture since 1984 and began teaching here in 2000. He received both his bachelors and masters degrees in Ag Education from Texas Tech. He currently teaches AgScience grades 9-12. His favorite saying is "Lead, follow, or get out." His hobbies include watching his kids activities and animals.
